Ryan, I have no idea about the social network stuff; it isn't something I follow, but thanks for the heads up on the media box. I hadn't even noticed it.

There are a load of changes in the current prototype but I am cautious of listing them all as they might not stay.

If I am not wrong, "Inbox" features is kinda something to do with upcoming social networking features of WordPress (inconjunction with BBPress) or even a built-in contact form (which I think is quite impossible).

And you forget the "Media Box" on the new/edit post page which I presume will enable user to see what images or media they use in a post.

Flick, it is hard for me criticise the admin design itself, but I do think the frequency is a little too high.

YAAIC (Yet another admin interface change) ?? 2.5 was a big leap from 2.3, and 2.7 is yet another jump. I guess we should expect something new in 2.9 ;)
